The very versitile Street Lace Stack by DCWV

I'm so in love with the DCWV stack Street Lace!! I won the whole collection in a drawing they did a while back. (Check out their blog! They have some super cute ideas! http://dcwvinc.blogspot.com/ )

I have created a birthday card. a graduation card & a masculine thank you card (believe it or not!)so far with this stack.
For my girly girl friend's 30 something birthday :o)

This was truly inspired by the graduation card I saw on the DCWV blog post
I also recently created a masculine thank you card using the Street Lace collection. It's a versitile stack. I love it!

Owl Banner

I created this cute owl banner for a 1 year old's birthday party. The mom wanted the colors to be brown with jewel tones. I used my Cricut to cut out the shapes.

I added little blue rhinesone eyes and a glitter yellow cardstock for bling!

Centerpiece made from paper and branches

I was looking to do a centerpiece very inexpensively but dramatic. What's cheaper than some paper and branches from the yard?? I cut some flower shapes in different sizes with my Cricut and attached them together with a brad. I got some nice looking tall branches out of the yard, wired on the flowers and put them in a vase. I tied on some green ribbon I had on hand for a leaf effect. Voila!

Go Dog Go Party for 2 year old

My 2 year old LOVES dogs. So I thought it would be the perfect theme for her birthday party. In order for it to be a "dog party", we first needed to transform all the kids into dogs! I made foam ears, felt tails and collars with each child's initials on their tag. We also painted their noses black.

For the activities, we all decorated hats since there is a running theme of party hats in the book. I covered a table with lots of stickers, markers, glue, feathers, pom poms, etc. and let them go to town. They had so much fun and I loved seeing how all the hats turned out!

We also played pin the tail on the dog. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I am very fortunate to have an artist for a mom! She painted the dog on a posterboard and to me, it looks like it is a page right out of the book!

check out her yellow tail ;o)
There was another handpainted board (done by my mom) that was made to look like a page from the book. We used it as our photo booth and had lots of silly hats for the kids to try on while posing in front of it.
A group shot in front of the board with the birthday banner above.
We hung streamers to look like a giant tree since the dog party takes place in a tree in the book.
I created a dog bakery with lots of doggy treats. We added some to real (new, unused) dog bowls and packaged others in ready to go packages. We had rawhides made from breadstick dough, chewies (red vines), bones made from sugar cookie dough, kibble (PB Captain Crunch), and biscuits (Nutterbutter cookies)

Cinco De Mayo Office Party

I wanted to jazz up our Cinco De Mayo office party / salsa contest so I make some festive paper decorations.

Art Birthday Party

For my daughter's 3rd birthday, we went with an art theme since it's her all-time favorite pastime. We reserved some tables at an art studio and let the fun begin!

My 3 year old and I broke up some old crayons and melted them into a cupcake wrapper.

After the crayons cooled, I added a mini Playdoh on top

All wrapped up! "Cupcake" art favors!
The "cupcakes" were added to some bags that we splatter painted. I affixed sticky backed chalkboard paper to the front and wrote each child's name in chalk. the bags were filled with fun art supplies and a cardboard frame to decorate.
The bags were held closed with a paint brush
Some art palette cookies were also added.
Here is the table display with her banner in the back. Each letter was put on a dowel and inserted into plaster of paris and held up in a cute pail. This was done since I wasn't sure if there would be a place to hang a banner.
